Your listing, scored
Categories, services, photos, reviews and response times: what Google looks at when it decides which businesses to show.
Your site on a phone
Measured load time, and whether the phone number is easy to tap on the first screen.
Who is beating you, and why
The competitors above you and the specific things they do that you do not, including whether they are running ads right now.
The first thing to fix

Public data only. We never need your passwords, and nothing is scored that we cannot verify.

How the breakdown is done

The same checks we run for our clients every week, run on your business and written up so a busy owner can read them in five minutes.

  1. 01

We search the way your customer does

From your town, on a phone, using the words people actually type: what you do plus the town, then the same search with “near me.” We record which three businesses Google shows on the map, their star ratings and review counts, and where you appear, if you appear at all. If someone is paying for the ad above the map, we note that too.

  2. 02

    We score your Google listing

Primary and secondary categories, the services listed, how many photos and how old they are, whether questions have been answered, how fast reviews get a reply, and whether your hours, phone number and website match your site and your other listings. These are the fields Google reads when it decides which businesses it trusts for your category in your town.

  3. 03

We open your website on a phone

We measure load time instead of guessing. We check whether the phone number is tappable on the first screen and whether your town and services are named in the words customers use. If you have no website, we explain what your listing alone can and cannot do.

  4. 04

We look at who is beating you

The businesses above you on the map and the specific things they do that you do not: more recent reviews, a better category, photos from this month, a page for your town, an ad running right now. Usually it is two or three concrete things, not a mystery.

  5. 05

We write it up with one fix at the top

A short, plain-language document with the most valuable fix at the top. You can hand it to whoever handles your marketing today, do it yourself or ask us to do it. No unverifiable scores, no jargon, no pressure.

What we look at

The breakdown starts where your customers start: a Google search from your town. Here is the kind of result we record, from Cheshire Integrative Medicine, a client in The Villages.

Google map results in The Villages with Cheshire Integrative Medicine holding two of the three spots
A real search we track: Cheshire Integrative Medicine holding two of the three map spots in The Villages.

For your business, we run the searches your customers run, note the three businesses on the map and their reviews, then open your listing and your website on a phone and score what a customer sees. You also get the first thing to fix, so you know where to start even if you never hire us. Most owners are surprised by one thing: who is actually ahead of them on the map, and how few reviews it sometimes takes to get there. That is the part worth reading first. Read what we build or who we are.

Before you send it

What owners ask us about the breakdown.

Is it really free?

Yes. No card, no trial and no call required. We do it because most owners who read it either fix the first thing themselves or ask us to. Either way, your town gets a better business on the map.

What do you need from me?

The form above. Your business name and town are enough to find your listing; your website address helps us check the right site. Nothing else. We never ask for passwords or access to anything.

How long does it take?

Within 48 hours. If we are running behind, you will hear from us before the deadline, not after.

What if I already pay someone for marketing?

Then the breakdown is a second opinion. If they are doing good work, we say so and tell you what to ask them for next. If money is being left on the table, we show you where. Many owners use it exactly that way.

What happens to my information?

It is used to prepare your breakdown and to follow up with you about it. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else. The details are in the Privacy Policy, and you can tell us to delete it at any time.

Will you call me?

We send the breakdown by email, plus a short text to let you know it arrived. If you want to talk it through, you can book a call. We do not chase you.

I am in a competitive category. Is it still worth it?

Even more so. In a crowded category, the gap between the top three on the map and everyone else is where the money is, and the breakdown shows exactly what those three are doing that you are not.

What does a breakdown look like?

A short written report: your searches and who is on the map, your listing and website scored, who is ahead of you and why, and the first thing to fix. See the kind of results we track in our case studies.

Do you do this for every town?

Yes. We run the searches from your town. See the searches we already ran for Leesburg, The Villages and every town we serve.

Can I get a breakdown for more than one location?

Yes. Put the main location in the form and list the others in the notes. We run the searches from each town.

Will you call me after I send it?

Only if you ask. The breakdown arrives in writing, and a call is your choice.
