The Medicare and Insurance Practice System for Licensed Acupuncturists.
Eight written modules, nine calculators, templates and trackers, and four 30-minute check-in meetings with 7-0. It shows you how Medicare, the VA and insurers pay for acupuncture, how to set it up and document it, and how to market and keep patients within the rules. $1,500, one time.

Why the order matters
An ad that brings in a Medicare patient you cannot bill is worse than no ad. Modules 1 to 6 make sure the patients marketing brings in can actually be billed. Module 7 does not start until the approvals are in. Module 8 keeps the patients you win.
No accredited master’s or doctorate? Medicare is closed, and you skip Modules 2 to 5. You start at Module 6, which works for any board-certified acupuncturist, then 7 and 8. The evaluation tells you which start is yours.
This is not done for you. You and your biller do the work. The course tells you exactly what to do, who does it, and what “done” looks like at each step. It was worked out at Cheshire Integrative Medicine, a practice that bills it every week.

Start here
What you get, who does what, the path in order, and the eligibility check before Module 1. Everyone needs an active state license and board certification. Medicare also needs the accredited degree.

What Medicare covers and what it pays you
Medicare covers acupuncture for chronic low back pain only, with visit limits and a strict patient definition. Before anyone fills out a form, you run the numbers on your local rate, your capacity and your patient base, and you write down a yes or a no.
- You learn
- What is covered, what is not, the visit limits and the stop rule, and how to do the math with your own numbers instead of a national figure.
- Tools
- Your Medicare numbers. Capacity ceiling.
- Done when
- You have a written yes or no, based on your local rate and your own capacity.
- 02
Find and sign your supervising provider
Licensed acupuncturists cannot bill Medicare themselves. A Medicare-enrolled provider sees the patient first, supervises, and bills, and you work inside that arrangement. You find and sign that provider yourself, with the course’s shortlist method, script and agreement; 7-0 does not supply one. Two structures: the provider’s practice bills and pays you, or your own practice bills, which in Florida means an AHCA health care clinic license first. The module states both, with where the money goes under each.
- You learn
- Who can supervise, the four rules the arrangement has to meet, the structure the course runs on, how to pay them, how to shortlist and approach local providers, and the agreement template you sign.
- Tools
- Supervising provider cost. Shortlist and outreach tracker. Supervising provider agreement template.
- Check-in 1 with 7-0
- Bring your shortlist and the draft agreement. We look at the plan before you sign.
- 03
Medicare paperwork
One missing enrollment link and every claim is denied, no matter how good the care was. The module walks the enrollment, and the Florida clinic license if your practice bills, through in the right order, with a claim cheat sheet your biller loads before the first claim. It also tells the truth about time: the contractor and the state hold those clocks, one application comes back in days and the next takes the full standard, and the module lists every wait with what the law fixes and what it does not.
- You learn
- What has to be true before you bill, who goes where on the claim, and the effective dates to confirm.
- Check-in 2 with 7-0
- Your enrollment status and dates. We confirm you are clear to bill.
- 04
Screen the right patients
A patient who does not meet Medicare’s definition is a denied claim. The module gives you the four-question screen, the phone script and the intake form, so only qualifying patients get booked as Medicare and everyone else gets a cash or insurance path.
- You learn
- The screen, where it goes, why the first visit belongs to the supervising provider, and how to handle privacy on the way in.
- Templates
- Phone screen script. Intake screen. Physician first-visit checklist. ABN how-to.
- 05
Bill and document
Wrong codes and weak notes are what trigger denials and audits. The module sets your biller up with the codes in plain words, the documentation standard Medicare expects, and what to check on the first claim before you scale.
- You learn
- What the claim has to carry, what the notes have to show every visit, and how to track visit counts so no patient goes past what Medicare allows.
- Tools
- Minutes to code. Visit cap tracker. Progress note template. Audit self-check. KX and visit 13 checklist.
- Check-in 3 with 7-0
- After the first claim comes back. We look at the result and two sets of notes before you scale.
- 06
Get in network with insurers and the VA
Works for board-certified acupuncturists without the Medicare degree, and brings in patients Medicare never will. The module covers the networks that actually credential acupuncturists, the local Medicare Advantage plans that cover it, and the VA Community Care Network and its rules that never bend.
- You learn
- Which networks to apply to, in what order, what stalls an application, and how to keep one tracker of who is approved from what date.
- Tools
- Payer mix. Credentialing tracker. VA referral checklist.
- Check-in 4 with 7-0
- After your applications go in. We chase what is stuck.
Module 7: marketing that follows health ad rules
Once you can bill it, the patients searching for a Medicare or VA acupuncture provider are looking for you. Module 7 shows you how to be the provider they find, inside Meta’s, Google’s, the FTC’s and HIPAA’s rules. It starts only once the approvals are in.
- 7A. The rules
- What a health ad may and may not say or target, read before any ad runs.
- 7B. Your three audiences
- Medicare, veterans, insured. One message each, never mixed.
- 7C and 7D. Facebook, Instagram and Google
- Account setup, targeting that stays inside the health rules, and the copy bank.
- 7E. Landing page and booking
- One section per payer, each saying who qualifies in plain words. Booking on a HIPAA-ready form with no ad pixels on it. A front desk script that screens before it books.
- 7F. What you track every week
- One row per payer: inquiries, reached, qualified, booked, billed. If an audience is paying and you want more of it, that is when spend goes up. Most practices never need much.
Templates: ad copy bank, landing page copy, Google Business Profile posts, review request script, testimonial consent, weekly ad tracker.
Owner: Marketer“Every marketer before this one sold me on volume. What none of them did was learn what I actually treat or who I actually treat it for.”
Dr. Christopher Cheshire, Cheshire Integrative MedicineModule 8: keep patients coming back
A won patient who drops out at visit four is the most expensive patient you have. Module 8 is the retention system: the workflow, the message templates, the consent language, the rules that keep texting and check-ins legal for Medicare and VA patients, and the tracker and weekly scorecard that show whether it is working.
Tools: no-show cost, patient value and retention, retention tracker, weekly scorecard.
Owner: CEONine calculators. Your numbers, nothing preset.
One of them, the capacity ceiling, is on the home page for anyone to try. The other eight are for members only. A calculation shown to a prospect is a promise, and we do not make those.
- Your Medicare numbers
- Module 1. Medicare chronic low back pain acupuncture on your own local rate, patient numbers and costs. Members.
- Capacity ceiling
- Module 1. The most visits your rooms, hours and supervising coverage can carry. Try it.
- Supervising provider cost
- Module 2. Models the allowed pay types only. There is no percentage option, on purpose. Members.
- Minutes to code
- Module 5. One-on-one minutes into the right codes and units for one visit. Members.
- Visit cap tracker
- Module 5. Each Medicare patient against the 12 in 90 days, the extra 8, and the 20 a year. Members.
- Payer mix
- Module 6. What your schedule looks like across Medicare, the VA, insurance and cash. Members.
- Ad tracker
- Module 7. Spend to billed, one row per audience per week. Members.
- No-show cost
- Module 8. What a missed visit costs your practice, on your numbers. Members.
- Patient value and retention
- Module 8. What a completed plan of care is worth against a dropped one. Members.
Four check-in meetings with 7-0
Thirty minutes each, included in the price, at the four points where practices get stuck. Bring the actual files. Five minutes on where you are, fifteen while we check, ten on decisions. Every meeting ends with a written list: what, who, by when.
- 01
After Module 2. Shortlist and draft agreement, before you sign.
Each candidate’s credential and enrollment, the pay model, the filled agreement, and the supervision plan.
- 02
After Module 3. Enrollment status and effective dates, clear to bill.
What is on file, from what date, and whether a Medicare patient can be seen yet.
- 03
After Module 5. First claim and two sets of notes, before you scale.
What came back, what the notes show, and what to fix before the next twenty patients.
- 04
After Module 6. Credentialing tracker, chase what is stuck.
Every application, its date, its status, and who to call this week.
Meetings are coaching on your process. 7-0 does not give legal, billing or medical advice, and no meeting replaces your supervising provider’s judgment.
What it costs
One price. Not a subscription. Not a cut of your claims.
- Eight written modules, in the order the work has to happen
- Nine calculators that run on your numbers only
- Templates and trackers for every step: scripts, checklists, note template, credentialing and ad trackers, the retention system
- Four 30-minute check-in meetings with 7-0
Our refund promise
Finish the Program and do the work. If it does not get you to your first Medicare claim, we refund you in full. Complete all eight modules and the four meetings within six months, meet Medicare’s requirements for acupuncturists, do the steps the Program sets out, and if 90 days after your fourth meeting you have not been able to submit your first Medicare acupuncture claim, email us with your completed checklists and we refund the full $1,500 within 10 business days. Members without the Medicare degree get the same promise on submitting an application to at least one insurer or the VA network. It is not a promise about what you will earn. The full Refund Policy.
What it is not
- Not legal, billing, coding, tax or medical advice. 7-0 is a marketing company.
- Not a supervising provider. The course teaches you how to find and contract your own. 7-0 does not supply one.
- Not a shortcut through the government. Medicare enrollment, Florida’s clinic license and insurer credentialing run on the contractor’s, the state’s and the plan’s clocks. Some come back in days, some take the full standard. The course puts them in the right order; it cannot shorten them.
- Not a billing service, not done-for-you ads, not legal review.
- Not a guarantee of enrollment, credentialing, coverage, payment, patient volume or income.
Enrollment opens after the call. You get the Terms of Purchase, Refund Policy and Disclaimers in writing before any payment.
Not eligible yet? The course shows the way there.
A lapsed license, a board certification that needs renewing, a degree that is not from an accredited school, no supervising provider in sight. None of that is a dead end. It is a list, in order, and the course lays it out.
- License
- The renewal or application steps for your state, the timeline, and what has to be true before any payer will look at you.
- Board certification
- NCCAOM, now NCBAHM, eligibility and exam route. The VA and Medicare both require it, so it comes before everything else.
- The Medicare degree
- If your degree is not from an ACAOM-accredited school, Medicare is closed for now. Skip Modules 2 to 5 and work 6, 7 and 8, which need no accredited degree.
- Supervising provider
- No physician, PA or NP in reach? Module 2 shows how to shortlist local providers who already treat back pain and structure the arrangement so Medicare can be billed at all.
Also for functional and integrative medicine practices
The same course applies to a root-cause practice that offers acupuncture, or wants to. Cheshire Integrative Medicine is one, and it is the practice the course was worked out in.
Questions acupuncturists ask
Straight answers before you book a strategy call.
What does the course cost?
$1,500, one time. Not a subscription and not a cut of your claims. It includes eight written modules, nine calculators, templates and trackers, and four 30-minute check-in meetings with 7-0.
Which patients does Medicare pay acupuncture for?
Medicare pays for acupuncture for chronic low back pain only, for patients 65 and over with back pain lasting 12 weeks or longer, up to 20 visits a year.
Can I bill Medicare for chronic low back pain myself?
Acupuncturists cannot bill Medicare for chronic low back pain directly. A Medicare-enrolled supervising provider, a physician, PA, NP or clinical nurse specialist, sees the patient first, supervises and bills. The course shows you how to find and sign your own.
Does 7-0 supply a supervising provider?
No. The course teaches you how to shortlist and contract your own, with the script and the agreement. 7-0 does not supply one.
What if my degree is not from an accredited school?
Medicare for chronic low back pain needs a master’s or doctorate from an ACAOM-accredited school. Without it, you skip Modules 2 to 5 and work Modules 6, 7 and 8, which cover insurance, the VA, marketing and retention.
Do I need board certification?
Yes, for the VA and for Medicare. NCCAOM, now NCBAHM. The course lays out the eligibility and exam route if yours has lapsed.
Is this legal or billing advice?
No. 7-0 is a marketing company. The course is not legal, billing, coding, tax or medical advice, and you and your biller do the work.
What is the refund promise?
Finish the Program and do the work. If it does not get you to your first claim on the terms set out in the Refund Policy, we refund the full $1,500. It is not a promise about what you will earn.
Where can I check if I qualify?
Take the one-minute check. Eight yes-or-no questions, and the answer shows on the page. Questions first? Book a strategy call.
Who is 7-0?
